In hydronic heating systems, water serves as the primary medium for transferring heat from the heat source to various areas of the home. This heated water flows through emitters – such as radiators or underfloor heating loops – releasing warmth into the living spaces. Once the heat is transferred, the cooled water returns to the heat source to be reheated and recirculated.
The flow is managed by the distribution system, with the circulation pump playing a central role. Much like the human heart drives blood through the body, the circulation pump powers the movement of water throughout the heating system, ensuring consistent and efficient heat delivery whenever it is needed.
