Demand Driven Distribution is intelligent pressure management throughout a distribution network – and it helps solve many common challenges. Here is how it works.
The best possible pressure management is achieved by measuring the network pressure and controlling the pumping station accordingly. However, online communication between the network pressure sensors and the pumping station is often expensive and hard to set into operation.
With Demand Driven Distribution, battery-driven network pressure sensors are placed in critical areas of the distribution network to obtain the right data. Data is transmitted daily, and the power requirements are therefore extremely low. This ensures a low maintenance, long lifetime solution.
The measured data is then used to control the pumping station – ensuring less water leakage, longer system lifetime and reduced costs.
