Demineralised water made easy
The SILEX 2BS is a compact, space-saving mixed-bed system designed for laboratories, dental clinics, and institutions with low-flow demineralised water requirements. It delivers up to 5 litres per minute with conductivity below 0.2 μS/cm. This SILEX unit is cartridge-based, allowing for quick replacement and easy operation.
Mixed-bed system with off-site regeneration
This SILEX unit contains a cartridge with ion exchangers. When the capacity of the cartridge is exhausted, you simply ship it to your local Grundfos regeneration centre. We handle the regeneration so you can avoid chemical handling and simply exchange and reuse the regenerated cartridge.
Effortless cartridge replacement
Replacing the exhausted cartridge in your SILEX 2BS unit is fast and simple. With our short online video guide, you’ll see just how easy it is to swap cartridges - no tools, no hassle, and no chemical handling:
- Close the valves and remove the exhausted cartridge from the unit.
- Return the exhausted cartridge to your local Grundfos department for regeneration.
- Insert a new cartridge.
- Open valves and get access to demineralised water.
Produce your own battery water
Batteries on electric trucks must be refilled regularly with water. It is important that the water is demineralised to optimize both capacity and battery life.
Demineralised water for lab tests
Demineralised water is a necessary tool for laboratory applications and testing. The water is almost free of all dissolved minerals and the conductivity can be less than 0.2 µS/cm.
Demineralised water for schools
When teaching chemistry, many experiments involve using demineralised water. SILEX gives easy access to demineralised water - without chemical handling by the personnel.
