Demineralised water for industrial applications
The EUREX mixed-bed unit is ideal for industrial and large-scale applications requiring high-purity demineralised water. With a production capacity of up to 4,000 litres per hour, it delivers reliable performance even for the most demanding operations. Compared to conventional mixed-bed plants, the investment costs are significantly lower, while the system remains easy to operate and virtually maintenance-free.
Mixed-bed system with off-site regeneration
EUREX is a mixed-bed unit consisting of both cation and anion exchange resins, which utilizes ion exchange technology to produce high-purity demineralised water. When the ion exchange resins reach their capacity limit, the EUREX vessel requires regeneration to restore optimal performance.
The exhausted vessel is send for regeneration at a specialized regeneration site at Grundfos. This eliminates your need for on-site chemical handling. You simply replace the used EUREX with a freshly regenerated one - sage and hassel-free.
Effortless replacement
When the conductivity is too high for the application, or the ion exchange resins are exhausted, the EUREX must be replaced in a few easy steps:
- Empty the vessel for water.
- Return the exhausted vessel to your local Grundfos regeneration centre.
- Insert a new regenerated vessel.
- Open valves and get access to demineralised water.
A strong transport frame ensures easy handling when the EUREX is replaced. To ensure a continuous supply of demineralized water, we recommend having an extra EUREX as backup.
Operating panel for easy operation
EUREX is equipped with an operating panel, making it easy to connect, disconnect and replace the EUREX vessel for regeneration. As an option a control unit and conductivity meter can be chosen to monitor the operation.
Backup after EDI
At a Heat & Power Plant the required water quality is crucial to obtain operation reliability. EUREX is a part of the water treatment solution as a backup to EDI.
Should a power failure hit the EDI, the EUREX unit is activated and ensures that the issue does not affect the water quality.
Polishing of demineralized water
EUREX can be used for polishing of demineralized water to get a low conductivity. The picture shows a EUREX used for polishing at a chemical company. The water quality is a key factor for the final product quality.
