Demineralisation with counter-current regeneration
DMCE is a fully automatic demineraliser unit designed to deliver high-quality demineralised water without the need for any pre-treatment of the inlet water. Its counter-current regeneration process ensures efficient operation while significantly reducing the consumption of regeneration chemicals.
Designed for reliable, efficient operation
The DMCE utilises a two-column ion exchange system to produce high-quality demineralised water. The unit is frame-mounted and equipped with a purpose-built PLC control for precise process management, a corrosion-resistant PVC pipe system and PPA-coated steel tanks for long durability.
UPCORE for higher flow and low conductivity
The DMCE delivers 2–5 µS/cm water quality, but applications requiring even lower conductivity or higher flow rates can benefit from the UPCORE™ principle (UPflow COuntercurrent REgeneration). This advanced design offers superior purification efficiency, self-cleaning operation and improved water quality.
- High flow rate: up to 70 m3/h
- High water quality: 1-3 μS/cm
- Low chemical consumption
- Constant, low pressure loss due to self-cleaning operating principle
Customised pipe system
This UPCORE™ solution was engineered for a zinc production facility requiring safe, reliable boiler operation at a flow rate of 2 × 37 m³/h. The IR-welded PP-H pipe system is fully documented and supplied with identification tags and a complete welding report.
Regeneration is carried out using sulphuric acid instead of hydrochloric acid, eliminating chloride issues in wastewater. To manage the heat generated during regeneration, the unit includes a specialised flow transmitter and a heat-resistant PVDF ejector for secure and stable operation.
