Solar-powered solutions to suit any requirement
Grundfos is pioneering the future of water technology with an expanded range of powered using renewable energy. Launched in 1985, the Grundfos SQFlex was one of the first DC-powered submersible pumps available on the market. Since this time, we have expanded our renewable line to include the CRFlex surface water pump, the Renewable Solar Inverter (RSI) and our new PowerAdapt.
In the initial stages of finding alternatives for hand pumps, one of the challenges was that few submersible solar-powered pumps had appropriate specifications for the shallow wells or boreholes in which manual pumps are installed. In response, Grundfos developed the SQFlex, a plug-and-pump solar solution well suited to this application. According to World Vision Zambia, the SQFlex pump is easy to install, operate and maintain at modest costs and provides high water flow when installed within a suitable aquifer.
