The CO₂ Degasser is a proven, low-maintenance solution for reducing carbon dioxide in water—without chemicals or consumables. Its corrosion-free design and energy-efficient operation make it especially economical for high flow rates. By lowering dissolved CO₂, the degasser helps increase pH and boost filtration capacity before the next treatment stage, ensuring optimal system performance.
Standard units include:
- Reservoir for deaerated water: provides stable water storage.
- Air blower: supplies high-volume, low-pressure air for degassing.
- Level monitoring of water admission: maintains optimal operation.
- Dry-run safety switch for feed pump: protects against pump damage.
- Overflow for high water level in reservoir: prevents system overflow.
Standard features for a CO2 degasser
Our standard CO₂ degassers handle flow rates up to 70 m³/h and includes key features such as a PP degassing filling, water level indicator with 4 switches, demister housing, spiral spray nozzle, and low-pressure blower. Designed to reduce CO₂ to 10–30 ppm, these units ensure efficient operation and long service life.
Degassed feedwater for high-pressure steam boiler
At a large power plant, the CO₂ Degasser is integrated between cation and anion exchangers in a demineralization unit. This setup significantly reduces chemical consumption for resin regeneration, minimizes strain on the anion resin, and lowers operating costs—resulting in fewer regeneration cycles and improved efficiency.
