A crucial part of water treatment, particularly for removing gases and volatile compounds
Grundfos degassing towers are used to remove dissolved gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from water, as well as adding air to it. They are particularly useful for removing contaminants like radon, hydrogen sulphide and methane. Adding air to water can help prevent slime growth and meet the requirements for drinking water distribution.
Stable pH levels and improved water quality without the need for chemical adjustments
Degassing towers are equipped with one or more fans that force pressurised air from the bottom upwards. This meets the water that runs downwards, dragging the gases collected from the fragmented water towards the discharge flue. A siphon placed at the base of the degassing tower prevents the air generated by the electric fan from dispersing downwards.
