Advanced side-stream filtration in a compact design
The Grundfos SSF-FBX provides continuous side-stream filtration for closed-circuit water systems, removing suspended solids and protecting valves, heat exchangers, and other sensitive components from blockages and wear.
Designed for systems with lower water volumes or where fine filtration is required, the SSF-FBX effectively removes metal oxides, precipitated hardness salts, and other separable solids – down to 1 micron – through continuous recirculation. The result is cleaner circulating water, greater operational reliability, and extended equipment life in compact installations.
A closed recovery system for efficiency and performance
Continuous filtration with no backwashing or flushing required. Water is pumped through the filter housing which contains a bag filter to collect suspended solids or sediment. Clean filtered water is then returned to the system from the filter outlet. Flow rate is monitored with a flow switch, which indicates when the bag is full and requires emptying.
