Most Intelligent End-Suction Pump, Now with Proportional Pressure Control
The Grundfos LCSE compact, close-coupled design, is 35% smaller than traditional frame-mounted pumps; and speeds up installation because you don’t need a baseplate, grouting or laser alignment. Plus, it comes with a lifetime alignment guarantee, extending the pump's operational life and decreasing planned and unplanned maintenance time. When routine maintenance is required, the LCSE has the quickest seal changes for an end-suction pump. The LCSE is an easy retrofit solution and allows users to realize savings of the latest energy-saving technology with the Grundfos MLE permanent magnet motor.
Proportional Pressure Control: The control functionality on the LCSE is groundbreaking, now including Proportional Pressure control. In a closed-loop system, higher flow means more friction loss throughout the system. Proportional Pressure control will vary the system set-point automatically as the system demand increases. High flow rates mean you will have high set pressure, and the opposite for low flow rates — this is where the energy savings can be realized with using the automatic Proportional Pressure control on your pump, as a 10% reduction in speed is approximately equal to a 30% reduction in power usage.
Lifetime Alignment from Grundfos Saves You Money
Did you know that only 7% of measured machines fall within acceptable alignment tolerances, leaving 93% of machines experiencing problems caused by misalignment, including:
- Increased energy consumption: As little as a 1.25mm offset can cause an 8% increase in energy consumption.
- Premature seal and bearing failure: Even just a 0.05mm offset reduces the seal wear life by 90%.
That is why Grundfos has engineered pumps like this to include a Lifetime Alignment Guarantee which will save you money and time over the lifetime of equipment.
Webinar: To Trim or Not to Trim Impellers?
In the past the only solution in many cases was to trim the impeller manually to fit the pump to the system, or to close a valve to get the right flow. Trimming impellers increases cost and production timelines. Now with the use of Variable Speed Drives we have found new ways of doing things electronically. So the question is, should you still manually trim impellers? This course will answer that question.

We’re designing smarter HVAC pumping solutions that use data to control, optimize and adapt your entire system, without your intervention. And we’re delivering it in a complete, simplified setup that saves you time and energy. Our approach is simple with:
See Why Sensors Keep You In the Zone
Sensors get a bad rap. Though they’re proven to be the best way to collect accurate data, they can be a pain to install, especially remotely. Grundfos has explored the sensor issue from every angle, including using no sensors at all. We learned that you really do need sensors to deliver real system data to get the most reliable control and maintain design intent. That’s why we have invested heavily in our sensor technology. We integrate state-of-the-art sensors directly into the pump to give you all the benefits with none of the headaches. Learn how Grundfos keeps you in the zone.
